Beginning... How to hack?
All you should know about hack roms and how to begin and create one.
Introduction
Who's never wanted to create their own Pokémon game, complete with new adventures and new places to explore? Making your own hack is the perfect way of fulfilling this dream.
Hacking is fun, rewarding and above all, exciting, like the process of creating the final result and the satisfaction of knowing people can enjoy playing it as much as you enjoyed creating it.
A hack doesn't happen overnight; it requires work and dedication. Nobody starts out knowing everything, and many things are difficult to understand in the beginning. Most important is that you don't become discouraged if things don't go as planned in the beginning — that you continue striving toward the end goal, that work produces results, however little at a time — then excellent results will be seen.
In order to avoid some of the difficulties that come up when you are making your hack, in WAH we have tones of useful tutorials made by our that you should read.
Furthermore, we have our forum that we consider a place where everyone tries to demonstrate what they know, help each other and show their work. We recommend that you register as a member there, explore and make yourself at home (but always respect the rules).
Hacks you should try
In order to see some of the results you can achieve, we recommend trying some of WAH's hacks, such as::
Pokémon Naranja, a professional-looking hack with completely changed graphics and a tropical environment, reliving the Orange Island adventures of the second season of Pokémon animé.

What is the best ROM to use as a base for my hack?
That's a personal decision, as each ROM has its own advantages and disadvantages.
In the Hispanic community, the most used rom is the English version of Pokémon Ruby, because there are many more editing tools for it, and is considered by some to be easier to hack with.
How do I start my hack?
Before you can begin, you have to download the software and tools necessary for modifying Pokémon ROMs. When we first began, even we didn't have the knowledge to understand all of the tools, nor did we have tutorials, so don't despair; from the first small bit, you'll understand more and more.
To start, the first thing you should download is Whack a Hack's Starter Pack, which includes the tools necessary to begin.
